Mindful Use of Technology

What strategies can be implemented to ensure a more mindful use of technology, while still leveraging its benefits for personal growth and societal advancement?

This course is designed to help participants navigate their digital lives with intentionality and awareness. Beginning with an exploration of mindfulness and its relevance to our digital interactions, we will discuss the potential negative effects of over-reliance on technology, such as mental health issues, relationship strain, and productivity loss.

From there, we transition into practical strategies for more conscious usage of technology. Participants will learn how to set clear boundaries for their tech use, designate tech-free areas and times, and utilize apps designed to encourage focus and reduce distractions. The course will also cover how to engage mindfully with digital content, including social media and news, to ensure it enriches rather than detracts from your life.

At a societal level, we will examine the importance of ethical technology design, digital citizenship, and policy-making in promoting mindful technology use.

By the conclusion of this course, you will be equipped with a variety of tactics to engage with technology in a more deliberate and mindful manner.
