About the Speaker
Douglas Clements, a former preschool and kindergarten teacher, is now a Distinguished University Professor and Executive Director of the Marsico Institute for Early Learning and Literacy at the University of Denver. He’s an eminent scholar in early childhood mathematics education and educational technology. Dr. Clements has published extensively, including over 166 research studies and 27 books, and has led more than 38 funded projects. His work has influenced mathematics curricula, teaching methods, and teacher training. He has served on several national panels and committees, including the U.S. President’s National Mathematics Advisory Panel and the Common Core State Standards committee.
